Rosihan Anwar - Ketika dalam perjalanan menuju perpustakaan Erasmus saya ditelpon oleh Prof. Dr. Salim Said M.A., M.A.I.A yang memberitahukan dia baru punya buku Chappy Hakim berjudul Dari Segara ke Angkasa. Sebuah otobiografi, penerbit Dinas Penerangan Angkatan Udara 2005. Chappy Hakim ialah Kasau tahun 2002 - 2005. Walaupun kenal pribadi dengan ayahnya, saya sama sekali tidak pernah ketemu atau bicara dengan Chappy. Jadi saya baca bukunya dengan hati terbuka dan tanpa preconceived ideas. Di buku ini dia melukiskan Jakarta awal tahun 1950-an sebagaimana dilihatnya. Toko-toko dan gedung yang disebutkannya banyak yang tidak ada lagi. Demi pembangunan fisika kota Jakarta.

Air Diplomacy

We know that to build a strong military, even just for defensive purposes, the costs can be relatively high. And to build a strong military for offensice purpose, a nation must consider the military might of the country that is projected to be a threat, both in terms of quality and quantity.

In line with this, ‘Air Diplomacy’ during peace time should be developed to protect and retain the national interests of Indonesia as well as prevent the possibility of war. The formula for war has only two choice : win or perish!

For the Republic of Indonesia there is only one national philosophy : “We Love peace, but we love freedom ever more”
